Snow Delay & Making Papers

Last time we met, we were getting eager for spring to unfold! Yet a classic Nor' Easter came through Concord, giving us a snow day followed by a two-hour start delay to school. This through a wrinkle in our plan, so rather than visit our vernal pool in Minuteman National Park, we decided to spend a few hours in a studio at The Umbrella. We listened to music, had a visit from Bask (my adopted pooch), ordered pizza, and mixed paint colors inspired by what we saw at the vernal pool last week. We spread the colors across sheets of paper to use for collaging next week. It was a relaxing day, and a beautiful way to better learn about each other, and the work ahead. The day reminded me of one of my favorite quotes:

"Ultimately, the best way to forge a lasting friendship

is to create something together.

Whether it's a meal, an art project

or a spontaneous dance party,

when you create something with others,

you build a connection that lasts a lifetime."
